Information for Reno Students
Hotel and Classroom Information
A block of suites has been reserved at the
Residence Inn Reno,
9845 Gateway Drive, Reno, Nevada 89521 at a special
conference rate for the training program.
The classroom is in the hotel's main
building adjacent to the breakfast area and front desk.
The Residence Inn Reno
is a full-service hotel on the south side of the city, away
from the casinos and other distractions of the area.
Included in the daily sleeping room rate are full breakfast;
internet connections; well-lighted work area for studying;
fully equipped kitchen in each suite; fitness center,
(seasonal) and heated spa; tennis court; coin-operated
laundry services; grocery shopping and restaurant delivery

transportation to the training program site. (If you qualify

Reservations are required for the
hotel's airport shuttle service. The Residence Inn
offers airport shuttle service between 8 AM and 10 PM,
Monday through Friday. If you are flying into Reno, call the
hotel (775-853-8800) with your arrival time at least 48
hours before you leave home. If you do not make a
reservation, you will have to take a taxi to the hotel at
your own expense.
The Residence Inn Reno is approximately five
miles from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport. Reno/Tahoe airport is served by 11 major airlines, including United, American, Delta,
Southwest, and Continental.

Students should not schedule flights home before 6PM on

What to Pack
We suggest that you bring comfortable,
casual clothes—jeans are OK. It would be a good idea to
bring a sweater or jacket for class. The classroom
has centrally controlled heat and air conditioning, and the temperature in the room can vary
substantially during the day.

“wheelies” to transport your notebooks and reference
materials between your sleeping room and the

are great places to visit any time of year. There are many historic tourist attractions and outdoor
activities available, not to mention the entertainment
facilities for which Reno is well known. Please note that
because of the intense training schedule and the amount of homework assigned during the week,
strongly recommend that you plan any extracurricular activities for the days before or after the
